Reviews
Really lovely restaurant. Hidden beneath the cliff and trees 🌲 is this beautiful gem. It’s a little bit of a walk down a flight of stairs but down here, next to the peaceful river full of parked boats 🛥️ is a beautiful area to have lunch,
It has a wedding 💒 function area but also a separate outdoor restaurant overlooking the running river. There is a variety of dishes with a lunch and brunch menu (we had the lunch menu) and also a bakery 🥯 , all French inspired 🇫🇷.
The male waiters seemed stern at the beginning with the female waiters seemingly fun and enthusiastic 🤩.
The food is alright though. The steak 🥩 was by far the best with the sauce and crispy chips. The kids fish and chips 🐟was alright but a little overpriced. The beef carpaccio was good but not amazing. The pasta 🍝 was by far not up to standard, the white sauce was literally flavorless and had more of the consistency of water. The fruit 🍎 smoothies were good and fresh and they literally make it on sight. By the looks of people around us with their ordered food, they looked quite happy 😃 so that is a plus.
After the meal, we had a walk around the docked boats which was relieving.
On the way up you can ask the staff to ride this mine cart like thingy to get to the top of the cliff which is much more easier. This is when the male staff seemed more friendly and willing to help. 👍
Overall, a well experience and would be excited to try other dishes and their bakery. Solid 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Hidden gem in the upper north shore area. Gorgeous views, decent food and fantastic service. Would definitely go back!
The tuna tartare wasn’t that great. Steak was ok, cooked to our liking but lacked flavour. Truffle pasta was good. It was missing the black truffle caviar though.
Getting back up the stairs is a nightmare after a good meal. Use the inclinator lift if you’re not pressed for time.
Thank you for your hospitality.
Visited Echo last year and it is an unforgettable experience! The food, the water view and the little shaft-elevator thing to go up and down is very memorable.
I would highly recommend visiting with family and friends for this quaint and beautiful lunch experience locally in Roseville.
My friend booked the table for our long waited "brunch" reunion after more than a year. It is a hidden gem!
The view is absolutely gorgeous! Even on a cloudy winter day. The friendly staff turned on the heater, prepared blankets, and closed the clear blinds for us to block the wind.
The coffee is pretty good. We had crepe from the brunch menu and a few entrees to share from the lunch menu. And couple cakes from the counter.
The beef carpaccio is a bit too thin and dry, so the edge of the beef slices stick onto the plate and need to be scrapped off. Personally, I would prefer the tuna tartar has less avo, but add in a herb. It should improve the texture and highlight the tuna & mango. Smashed avo & smoked salmon can probably try to use a different type of bread or pastry to make it a bit more special for your venue.
Love the cakes! They are all very tasty. Keep using the same supplier for your desserts, pleeeeease.
Overall experience is pretty good. If the menu can be more creative, has more character, and extends to more options, it will be a great improvement. Will visit again soon and hope the next visit can have an even better experience.
It's a beautiful spot and the place has some sort of a vibe. Personally, I am not a big fan of their services. I've sat down and it took them 15-minutes to acknowledge me and gave some water. No menu has been offered or anything. I tried to ask a waiter but they just walked straight passed. After 25' Minutes I finally got someone giving me a menu. (Please note, this was before the reserved table guests came in).
The food was quite good. Bit small portions for what you pay, but I expected that considering the location.
All together, I think it's a pretty venue with a pleasant vibe. Music on background wasn't too loud or overpowering. Just disappointed with the services especially for a non-busy morning. It be great if you next time could acknowledge your guests a bit earlier.
Have been there many time over the years, definitely changed owner. The new menu food and quality is really low. Will not be back there which is a shame as it was my go to breakfast venue on the weekends
I really enjoyed this place. Relatively quiet in the morning, and amazing scenery. We just tried the coffee and it was ok, but I can’t speak for the food. Recommended if you are in the area.
A beautiful and hidden restaurant located in Roseville. The restaurant offers stunning views of the marina and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
I was greeted by the tranquil setting of the marina. The stunning views can be enjoyed from the travelator that takes you right down to the restaurant's entrance. The decor is decent, and the food was not too bad either. We had the best seat of the house right by the jetty. The view definitely helped downing some drinks. We ordered the beef carpaccio and the seafood pasta. Although the flavors were not as bold and imaginative as I had hoped, the beef carpaccio was enjoyable with a beautiful presentation but the pasta was bland and unremarkable.
In terms of service, it was excellent. The wait staff were attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was pleasant. The restaurant has a great wine list. I’m sure the staff will be able to make excellent recommendations.
Echo on the Marina is a great option if you're looking for a unique dining experience with stunning views. The food is decent, and the service is excellent. Give it a go if you're in the area.
